Black Excellence Day

Friday, January 13th is Black Excellence Day. All students and staff will be invited/encouraged to wear black on Friday. A new initiative in B.C. has emerged aimed to spark important conversations about anti-racism and unity among various ethnic groups. Black Excellence Day is designed to highlight the past and present struggles of Black and racialized Canadians.

At Armstrong we are asking you all to join us in standing up against discrimination, segregation, and racism as well as to support those that have faced these struggles.  We are asking you all to wear Black on Friday in solidarity to this cause. The goal is to acknowledge what has happened, listen to people’s stories, and make a promise to do our part in our everyday lives to support diversity and promote acceptance.
