We hope everyone had an amazing summer break and is ready for an amazing year. We are excited to welcome students and families back to school on Tuesday, Sept. 8th! School will be in session from 9:00-10:00 am.
FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL
Students in grades 1-7 will return to last year’s class until our new classes are finalized, with a few exceptions (a map is attached to this email, for your reference):
- Students in Grade 6 French Immersion will report directly to Room 13 with Mme. Guguin
- Students in Grade 7 French Immersion will report directly to Room 10 with Mme. Humphries
- Students from Mr. Kroeker, Mr. Owen and Ms. Pagnotta’s classes last year will report to Room 11 with Ms. Pagnotta and Ms. Parker.
- Students from Ms. Parker’s class will report to Room 5 with Ms. Melton for the week.
- Students from Ms. Santi’s class will now report to Room 7.
- Students from Ms. Ford’s class will report to Room 23 with Ms. Caruth.
- Students from Ms. Caruth’s class will report to Room 20 with Ms. Wilson.
- Students from Ms. Papadoulis’ class last year will report to last year’s class all week (room 25); over the course of the week, they will be supported by Ms. Papadoulis, Ms. Kos, Ms. Davies and Ms. Albert.
- Students from Ms. Sukhina-Volkova’s room will report to last year’s class all week (room 2); over the course of the week, they will supported by Ms. Flett and Ms. Lahmer.
- Students from Ms. Redford’s class will report to last year’s class on Tuesday (room 24); for the remainder of the week, they will be with Ms. Kouromichelakis, Ms. Gastaldo and Ms. Duncan in Room 15.
- All students NEW to Armstrong (except those in French Immersion) should report to the gym on Tuesday morning. Staff there will then escort them to their temporary class for the week. Students who were in Grade 6 French Immersion who are NOT continuing this year should also report to the gym.
Please keep in mind that from Wednesday onwards our regular schedule will be resumed (8:55am-3pm) for all students grades 1-7. Kindergarten families, please refer to the Gradual Entry schedule sent via email.
In addition, our lovely PAC will be at the front of the school. If you are interested in helping out this wonderful community, please connect with their team and introduce yourself or just drop by to say hi!
